Lite-Stone® panels LITE-STONE® facade panels are composite panels. Their core consist in a high quality EPS 200-036 hard polystyrene. The external coating is a restricted composition of attested resins, aggregates and pigments. Thanks to the technology created by STAGAPOL company, LITE-STONE® panels accurately represent the visuals of sandstone panels.
In places exposed to intensive use and mechanical damage (in case of public utility buildings, this is usually the section from the ground level up to two meters above ground), an additional reinforcement of glass fibre and adhesive is added.
LITE-STONE® panels are fully resistant to all external factors, while their mechanical resistance is comparable to plaster cladding laid on a polystyrene insulation using the light weight method.
LITE-STONE® panels are not resistant to vandalism.
Maintenance of LITE-STONE® panels is limited to washing off the occasional dirt with water or water-thinnable detergents (pressure washers can be used as long as proper distance and water pressure are observed).
Possible losses and mechanical damage can be fixed with LITE-STONE® spacking paste, or by replacing the damaged parts.
LITE-STONE® panels are installed directly on the wall surface that must be dry, stable and dust-free. Any adhesive designed for polystyrene will do, whether in form of mortar or polyurethane glue.
LITE-STONE®
panels do not require any substructures or anchoring. Gaps between
individual panels, no matter how big or small, must be insulated to
prevent water from getting to the layers of adhesive and to the
original surface. For this purpose, we recommend colourless sealants
designed for exterior applications.
Before using the sealant, make sure it is allowed to come into contact with synthetic materials, in particular with polystyrene.
For aesthetic reasons, the sealant should be as barely visible as possible and applied very close to the original surface the panels are installed on.

The standard panel thickness is 3 cm. On request, we also make panels of different thickness.
